KIDS & JUNIOR PROGRAMS

In the Gracie South Bay Jiu Jitsu Youth Program we focus on building future champions and leaders both on and off the mat. Using Jiu Jitsu as a learning tool we are able to Build a child’s Confidence, Focus, Self-Esteem, Motor Skills, and Self Defense. Our curriculum consists of Jiu-Jitsu fundamental techniques as well as a unique “character stripe” system:

The easiest way to practice respect is with the golden rule: “treat others as you would want to be treated”.

Green Stripe

The green stripe represents Attendance. The student must attend class regularly unless other circumstances restrict their attendance. This characteristic helps students understand the importance of commitment, dedication, and the value of their word. The student should understand the value of the instruction and their commitment to learning a new martial art. At Gracie South Bay we try to discourage laziness and quitting.
